Ministry Path

Over 35 Years of Ministry Experiences

In college, I led worship at the Central Church of Christ in McMinnville, TN.

In graduate school at Harding I counseled with the Memphis Crisis Hotline and taught in the Bible school program at Highland Church of Christ

During my doctoral program in New Orleans, I served as associate minister at the Carrollton Ave. Church of Christ.

In California, I worked as a social worker and Director of Social Services at Hillview Acres Children’s Home. During this time of serving children and families, I acquired my counseling experience and became licensed both as a marriage and family therapist and a licensed psychologist. After leaving Hillview, I began a private practice, Chino Hills Psychological Care.

After 13 years in Southern California, my family moved to Memphis where in 1993 I began my teaching at Harding School of Theology and counseling as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

My consulting with the Midsouth Marriage Initiative led to the creation of my 12 Conversations mentoring programs for marriage relationships and other life stages. Rhonda and I enjoy serving churches and agencies in both marriage mentor training workshops as well as marriage enrichment weekends.
